A Palm Springs Spanish Colonial Revival Home Gets a Modern Update

Every interior designer has a story about how one home led to another. The Laguna Beach–based founder and namesake of Kim Duensing Projects traces hers to Old Las Palmas in Palm Springs. Duensing was working on a spec remodel in the historic neighborhood when a couple knocked on the door. They wondered if she was willing to give them a closer look at the project that they had admired on their walks. Duensing was happy to offer a tour to the couple, who had been spending winters away from New England in a vacation rental nearby.
