The rosy maple moth may be the cutest pollinator you’ll ever see. Small enough to perch on your fingertip, the pink-and-yellow insect resembles a fuzzy mash-up of strawberry and lemon candy. Although the pretty critter is native to the eastern United States, you can see a larger-than-life version this month at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens in Palm Desert.
