From the street, Saddlerock Gardens resembles many South Palm Springs communities. Hugh Kaptur designed the 43-unit complex in 1975. More than 50 years later, it remains a well-kept secret hiding in plain sight. Behind sand-colored stucco exteriors, each three-bedroom home reveals an architectural gem, with double-height living spaces, clerestory windows, and two interior courtyards.
