Inside the Cockpit of a P-51 Mustang at Palm Springs Air Museum

Tom Nightingale has logged nearly 2,000 hours in the P-51 Mustang, the World War II fighter nicknamed “the Cadillac of  the sky.” As director of flight operations at Palm Springs Air Museum, he oversees the volunteer pilots who fly the museum’s historic warbirds while continuing to pilot rides himself.
