The Desert as Muse: Why Creative Minds Keep Coming Back

just before sunrise, the desert sky turns an intense violet, almost amethyst. The San Jacinto Mountains catch the early light as palms sharpen into silhouette. At higher elevation, Joshua trees stand against the same sky, macabre and joyous shadow figures caught mid-gesture, while from the earth a dome of pink light rises, as if the ground were exhaling in shades of cotton candy.
