The Blackbook Bar owner was speaking at the city’s unveiling of green-and-white street signs officially designating the “Arenas District” — the block of East Arenas Road in downtown Palm Springs between South Indian Canyon Drive and South Calle Encilia. This LGBTQ+ nightlife and entertainment mecca is lined with popular bars, clubs, and retail shops.
